I used to have a grocery list for my car that consisted of an in dash DVD and to have the ConZult. Well, In dash DVDs are expensive. More than what I am willing to fork out. And with the ConZult, you have to have a PC or laptop to interface with. So, I grabbed some parts and what-not that I had around the house and in the attic, and built the best of all worlds: A Pentium 4, 2.4Ghz with 160 Gig HD & DVD. Yeah there are other things, but this is the basic. So now I have my DVD player in the car, for less than an in dash DVD. And even with the 7" VGA touch screen monitor.....still less than an in dash DVD. AND I just gave myself 160 G for music, or what ever. Plus, I now have the interface (as a permanent fixture) for the ConZult. Still for just under the price of an indash DVD. I found an ADSL modem at the local thrift shop here and tucked that away in the car as well. So....(for now) I just pull into the garage, plug into the spare phone jack I installed there, and connect to the internet @ 4.3 Mb/s. I love ADSL!!! Get what ever I need, un plug, and I'm out.
